Telecom service provider Vodafone Idea (Vi) has partnered with SonyLIV, the video streaming platform owned by Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI), to provide premium content for the audience. Vi has added a new Rs 82 top-up, a great way to provide a free 28-day SonyLIV Premium mobile subscription along with an additional data benefit of 4GB with 14-day validity, the company stated in a known statement, during an announcement on Monday. Along with Indian originals, the content library will include International content such as The Good Doctor, Fantasy Island, and Magpie Murders.
“The new offer will allow all Vi prepaid customers to enjoy Sony LIV Premium without worrying about data allowance,” the company said.
This is the current state of telecommunications efforts to provide touchpoints for customer engagement through entertainment. Vi hosts a range of entertainment services in its app under the Vi Play feature. The app offers 60,000 hours of feature films and a selection of Indian and international series. Besides, Vi Play also offers news channel streams in Hindi, English, and other Indian languages. Vi is more focusing on the engagement of its customers with more entertainment features, as the current trend is all about OTT platforms and the web content from the pandemic, viewers' priority will b the same. Having this in mind the company's tie-up will give productive results to the customers.
The content provided by this affiliation includes sports activities such as UEFA Champions League, WWE, Bundesliga, and UFC. Moreover, the platform can even give Vi customers the right to access their original portfolios, including titles like Scam 1992 - The Harshad Mehta Story, Maharani, Tabbar, Rocket Boys, and Gullak Season 3.
