Sairam Krishnamurthy Appointed as the new COO of Swiggy Instamart

Swiggy Instamart, has announced the appointment of Sairam Krishnamurthy as its Senior Vice President (SVP) and Chief Operating Officer (COO).

Based in Bengaluru, Krishnamurthy will be responsible for overseeing various operational aspects of Instamart, including dark store operations, infrastructure, and city growth.

Krishnamurthy has over 18 years of experience in leadership roles across different industries such as FMCG, consumer tech, and retail. Before joining Swiggy Instamart, he was the COO of More Retail's supermarket business and also served as its Chief Merchandising Officer. His previous roles include heading India supply at Ola Mobility and a long tenure at Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL), where he worked in sales, marketing, and innovation.

Recently, Swiggy Instamart has been bolstering its leadership team with several new appointments. Himavant Srikrishna Kurnala has joined as SVP of Product and Business, Aakash Bhotika as Vice President of Technical Advisor, Mayank Rajvaidya as Vice President of Fruits & Vegetables, and Manu Sasidharan as Associate Vice President of the FMCG category.

Currently, Swiggy Instamart operates in 33 cities and offers grocery delivery within 10 minutes across over 20 categories. It competes with other quick commerce platforms like Zepto and Blinkit.
