Indian dating app Juleo has secured $2.5 million in funding, with the investment led by angel investors.

Juleo, a dating app from New Delhi that aims to make real-life connections, has raised $2.5 million in funding.

This round was led by over 180 angel investors, including notable figures like Ramakant Sharma from Livspace, Kunal Shah from CRED, and the founders of Groww, Harsh Jain and Lalit Keshre.

The money will help Juleo expand its team and boost growth and marketing.

Founded in 2023 by Chiranjeev Ghai and Varun Sud, Juleo isn’t just another dating app; it’s meant to be a community for singles who want meaningful relationships. The app stands out by requiring all users to verify their identity with a government ID and video, and it uses AI to help match people.

To ensure privacy and safety, Juleo keeps women’s profiles hidden by default so they can choose who they interact with. This feature aims to protect users from unwanted attention and make the dating experience safer. Juleo plans to earn money through membership fees.

Ramakant Sharma from Livspace expressed excitement about being part of Juleo’s journey, praising the team’s talent and dedication to solving a major challenge in the online dating world.
