EV startup Ultraviolette promotes Vinayak Bhat to the role of Chief Product Officer

Ultraviolette Automotive, an electric vehicle startup based in Bengaluru, has promoted Vinayak Bhat to Chief Product Officer (CPO).

This move is part of the company's plan to grow its product range and boost its presence both in India and internationally.

Vinayak Bhat has been with Ultraviolette since 2017 and brings a strong background in aerospace and electric vehicles. In his new role, he will be in charge of everything related to the product, from the initial idea and design to getting it onto the market.

Bhat’s key tasks will include broadening the company’s product lineup and focusing on integrating important components like battery technology, drivetrains, and vehicle design. His goal is to set new industry standards and help Ultraviolette become a leading name in high-performance electric vehicles worldwide.

“I’ve seen Ultraviolette’s commitment to innovation up close. My aim is to create outstanding products for the global market by focusing on integrating essential components like battery technology and vehicle design. We want to set new benchmarks and strengthen Ultraviolette’s global leadership in electric mobility,” Bhat stated.

Before becoming CPO, Bhat was the Technical Director and Principal Engineer at Ultraviolette. He played a key role in developing major projects like the F77 Mach 2 and the F99 Racing Platform, handling various aspects of product development and manufacturing.

Bhat’s background includes working as a structural engineer at the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and as a design analyst at Safran Engineering, where he worked on important projects for companies like Airbus and Boeing.

Narayan Subramaniam, CEO and Co-Founder of Ultraviolette, praised Bhat’s deep understanding of both aerospace and electric vehicle technologies. He believes that Bhat’s leadership will be crucial in driving the company’s innovation and success.
