Beco Raises $10 Million to Support Eco-Friendly Home, Kitchen, and Personal Care Products

Beco, an eco-friendly brand from Mumbai, has secured $10 million in pre-Series B funding.

The funding round was led by Tanglin Venture Partners, with contributions from Titan Capital Winners Fund, Manish Choksi (who is associated with Asian Paints), and previous investors Rukam Capital and Synergy Capital.

Beco was started in 2019 by Aditya Ruia, Akshay Varma, and Anuj Ruia. The company focuses on offering eco-friendly, zero-plastic products for home, kitchen, and personal care.

The new funding will help Beco innovate, increase their production, and build a strong offline sales network in key locations. They also plan to boost their brand visibility and awareness as they prepare to grow further.

Since launching, Beco has expanded its product line and is now available in over 10,000 retail stores across India. Their sales figures are on par with, or exceed, those of established brands. Besides retail stores, Beco’s products are sold online through platforms like Amazon and quick commerce services such as Zepto, Blinkit, and Swiggy Instamart. They are also present in general trade in 20 cities and are working to increase their presence in modern trade.

Their range includes items like tissues, towel rolls, and toiletries. Aditya Ruia emphasized that Beco was founded with the idea that everyone needs to be more responsible about their environmental impact.
