Apple has appointed Kevan Parekh as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Apple has announced that Kevan Parekh will be the company's new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), taking over from Luca Maestri.

Parekh, who is currently Apple’s Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis, will officially step into the CFO role on January 1, 2025. Maestri will stay with the company, leading the corporate services teams, including areas like information systems and technology, and will continue to report directly to Apple’s CEO, Tim Cook.

Tim Cook praised Parekh, saying that his extensive experience with Apple and his strong financial skills make him the perfect fit for the CFO role. Parekh has been with Apple for 11 years and has handled various important roles, including overseeing financial planning and analysis, investor relations, and market research.

He has also worked on sales, retail, and marketing finance, and supported Apple's product marketing and engineering teams. Before joining Apple, Parekh held senior positions at Thomson Reuters and General Motors.

Maestri has been a key figure at Apple, helping the company grow its revenue significantly and improve its financial performance. Under his leadership, Apple's revenue more than doubled, and services revenue increased fivefold. Maestri expressed his pride in working for Apple and his confidence in Parekh, who will take over as CFO.

In other news, Apple has scheduled its next major event, titled "It’s Glowtime," for September 9, 2024, at the Steve Jobs Theater in Apple Park. At this event, Apple is expected to introduce its new iPhone 16 lineup.
